RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus Repair

Released in April of 2024, the RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus is a handheld video game emulator that takes design inspiration from the Nintendo Gameboy Family of systems. This device plays games on its hardware via Rom Files, allowing for the playing of retro games on the go.

The RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus weighs at 165 grams, being 3.07 x 4.25 x 0.8 in dimensions. The Device itself comes in a variety of colors, with options of a clear and opaque shell. Within the shell itself is housed a 3.5" IPS display, with a resolution of 680x480. The device itself comes with a Type-C 5V charger to allow for the ability to play for 4-6 hours in a charge.

Less than a year after its release, problems have been reported regarding malfuntioning screens and power buttons. However, this issue was not prevalent enough to issue a recall on the device. Despite these setbacks, most people have have praise for the RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus.

RetroMini is advertising the Miyoo Mini Plus on their site alongside their other flagship systems, the RG35XXSP, R36s, and Miyoo A30.

The RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus feels very solid when you try to lift the device. It is in the form of a brick shape with 15 buttons with four of them being in the back of the RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus. It has a 3.5" screen situated above the buttons, A, B, X, and Y, along with a D-pad. There are also two more buttons on the bottom of the device which are "SELECT" and "START". There are four buttons on the back, those being "L" and "L2" alongside "R" and "R2". The RetroMini Miyoo Mini Plus requires a USB-C charging cable (for, as one might guess, charging) and can come in various designs.
