Background
The Lenovo ThinkPad L390 is a compact laptop made as part of the Lenovo ThinkPad L Series. Made in 2019, the L390 is the second of the L series laptops released by Lenovo. These L series laptops are intended for students rather than businesses, as is the case for many other Lenovo ThinkPad laptops.
The Lenovo ThinkPad L390 comes in two colors, Black and Silver, and weighs around 3.22lbs. The L390 has a 13.3” screen and optional features such as a backlit keyboard and a fingerprint scanner. The L390 has a 75% keyboard with a TrackPad (little red dot) in the middle of it. It has multiple different connection ports such as HDMI, USB-A, and USB-C. The Lenovo ThinkPad L390 also comes with Bluetooth connection.
The Lenovo ThinkPad L390 did not have many common issues beyond the inefficient cooling fan. It was also expressed that many users who purchased and installed aftermarket batteries experienced issues with charging and keeping charge with the L390, however it was never found if the L390 or batteries were at fault. Both issues were never the cause for a product recall or failure. The Lenovo ThinkPad L380 and L390 series was eventually replaced by the L13, L14, and L15 series.

The Lenovo Thinkpad L390 is a laptop (dimensions unfolded 322 x 224.2 x 18.8 mm) protected by a black hardcover. It has a front-facing camera on top of the screen. The model number is located on the back of the device on the sticker. If you unfold the device, you can find the label “Lenovo” on the bottom right of the device.
