== Background and Identification ==

The HP Notebook 15-ay114cy, a product of the HP Laptop series manufactured in 2015, was developed by Hewlett-Packard for use of at home research and office work. The laptop has simple features, including a 1080p display and excluding touch screen and screen folding ability. The keyboard has an additional number keypad and has a touch-pad mouse with multi touch interaction. However, this model lacks any specialized gaming or audio controls for more advanced use.

This laptop has a hard plastic casing for both the bottom and upper housings of the laptop. The laptop was manufactured in black and grey/silver colors, both styles consisting of the HP logo on the external casing located directly in the center. The HP 15 Notebook offers general USB connections as well as a headphone jack to be used with wired headphones and has Bluetooth capabilities. The laptop is included with a 45 Watt AC power adapter to charge the 4-cell, 41 Watt-Hour Lithium-ion battery.

The computer comes pre-installed with Windows 10 software and an Intel Core i3-7100U microprocessor.  This model also comes pre-installed with a 1 TB (Terabyte/ 1000 Gigabyte) hard-drive to store music, photos, and other software including Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel. Including with the laptop software also comes pre-installed protection McAfee LiveSafe software for virus protection.
