	The Aspire R7 is a unique hybrid laptop designed by Acer. The device runs Windows 8 on an Intel Core i5 processor with a 15.6” Full HD display. The touch screen rests on a patented Ezel hinge that that allows the user to transform from a standard laptop view to a touch notepad.

	One of the latest models Acer has released is the R13. The new design offers dual hinges on the side instead of the single hinge in the center, which seems to be an improvement over the R7.

== Background ==

The Aspire R7 is a unique hybrid laptop designed by Acer. The device runs Windows 8 on an Intel Core i5 processor with a 15.6” Full HD display.  The touch screen rests on a patented Ezel hinge that that allows the user to transform from a standard laptop view to a touch notepad.

Acer launched a second model of the R7 that came with a faster processor for improved performance; however, the inverted keyboard and mouse pad layout seems to discourage most users from spending the same amount for this laptop as they would on a comparable product.

One of the latest models Acer has released is the R13. The new design offers dual hinges on the side instead of the single hinge in the center, which seems to be an improvement over the R7.

== Antecedentes e Identificación ==

El Aspire R7 es un portátil híbrido único diseñado por Acer. El dispositivo ejecuta Windows 8 en un procesador Intel Core i5 con una pantalla Full HD de 15,6". La pantalla táctil descansa sobre una bisagra Ezel patentada que permite al usuario transformar la vista de una computadora portátil estándar en un bloc de notas táctil.

Acer lanzó un segundo modelo del R7 que venía con un procesador más rápido para mejorar el rendimiento; sin embargo, el diseño invertido del teclado y la alfombrilla de ratón parece disuadir a la mayoría de los usuarios de gastar la misma cantidad en este portátil que en un producto comparable.

Uno de los últimos modelos que ha lanzado Acer es el R13. El nuevo diseño ofrece bisagras dobles en el costado en lugar de la bisagra única en el centro, lo que parece ser una mejora con respecto al R7.
