Background
Beyerdynamic is a microphone, headset, and wireless-audio-system manufacturer, founded in Germany in 1924. Beyerdynamic was acquired by the Chinese firm Cosonic Intelligent in 2025.
Beyerdynamic started manufacturing headphones in 1937, with the DT 48. Beyerdynamic has made many headphones, with many of its studio headphones being popular among gamers, such as the DT 990s used by the e-sports player Ninja.
Beyerdynamic entered the gaming headset market in 2007, with the MMX gaming series. The company also offer many gaming-oriented headphones outside of the MMX series, including the Custom Game headset and the TYGR 300 R headphones.
