Background
The Beyerdynamic Custom Game is a wired over-ear closed-back gaming headset, released in 2017. The headset has a few siblings in its Custom family, including the Custom Street headphones released a year prior.
The Custom Game headset features a modding friendly design meant for customization, with many parts being user-replaceable. The headset features sound sliders, a physical adjustable mechanism that changes the bass reflex, and the sound of the Custom Game headset. The headset is easy to driver with 16 ohm drivers, with a 5 Hz to 35 kHz frequency response.
The headset has a detachable microphone, integrated into a 3.5 mm TRRS cable, terminating into a 3.5 mm headphone jack making it compatible with consoles.
The Custom Game headset has good spatial audio. The sound signature is user-changeable with the sound sliders, and the headset reproduces bass, mids and high notes rather well.
