Background
First available on October 6, 2011, the Asus G74SX-BBK7 is a gaming laptop released under Asus's G74 Republic of Gamers series. The computer runs on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and has a DVD Super Multi Optical Drive. This laptop also has a total of 4 USB ports (1 USB 3.0 and 3 USB 2.0s), 1 HDMI port, 1 microphone jack, and 1 headphone jack. In addition, it features a standard keyboard and touchpad, a 1.0 MP webcam with facial recognition, and a 8-in-1 media card reader. The battery is easily removable with a switch and, unlike other models, the hard drive and RAM can be easily accessible with a screw driver or quarter on the back.

Unfortunately, most Asus G74SX models differ slightly only on appearance and so to make sure you have the correct model number and version of the Asus laptop, check the sticker on the back of the laptop.
