Tribit StormBox IC-BTS30 Will Not Charge

Is your Tribit StormBox IC-BTS30 not charging when plugged into a power source? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.

If the cable or wall adapter is worn out or broken, the speaker may not receive power. Try charging the speaker with a different USB cable and adapter that you know works. Also check for loose connections, bent tips, or frayed wires.

Dust, lint, or pocket debris can build up inside the charging port and block the connection. Shine a light into the port and carefully remove any buildup using compressed air or a dry wooden toothpick. Avoid using metal tools, which can damage the contacts.

Rechargeable batteries lose capacity over time. If the speaker only works while plugged in, charges very slowly, or shows no charging light at all after trying other fixes, the internal battery may no longer hold a charge and will need to be replaced.
