Blue Screen Errors
You see a blue screen displaying an error message upon startup .
Hard disk Device Drivers
A bad hard disk may be the cause of this issue. You can find the hard disk after unscrewing the back of the laptop.
Firmware or Manufacturer Faults
The hard disk is undetectable or not recognized at all by the System. The system fails to boot or hang in the middle of the booting process. The manufacturer may have delivered the faulty disk and hard disks may be delivered to the customer without testing. To fix this, contact hard disk manufacturer and ask for RA (Return Authorization) as the disk is still under warranty.
Fans Are Not Working Well Enough to Cool the CPU
Due to improper ventilation or faulty CPU fan. To fix this, ensure that the CPU fans are working fine and double check that the sufficient cooling is delivered to the processor. Also, can use thermal paste and employ them between the heat sinks of CPU fan to make them run smoothly.
Electronic Failure or Power Surges
The UPS may not be able to deliver the required power supply, either too high or too low. To fix this, make sure that the system hardware is getting only the required power supply.
Mechanical or Internal failure
This error happens internally on the hard disk due to of bad sectors and blocks, spindle motor stops functioning, PCB board itself is damaged and read/write head may become immovable. To fix this, update the system regularly or weekly to run the latest copy of antivirus program and replace the hard drive after 3-4 years of use.
Corrupted Files
Sudden shutdown due to power failure or force restart can cause files to become corrupt and make your hard disk inaccessible whatsoever. To fix this, Always use the standard way to shut down your PC which can help your computer to close everything properly and command kernel to stops powering remaining CPU equipment. Also, close all running programs before closing the system. and avoid installing malicious or faulty software onto your PC.
Human Errors
This error happens mainly due to entry mistakes. To fix this, simply input the correct setting information.
Software Issue
The computer may have been attacked by viruses and/or spyware. To fix this, try removing all viruses and spyware. Also, reinstall Windows, backup programs, etc. and reload the computer into safe mode, then doing a system restore.
Operating system not found or missing operating system
When a PC is booting, the BIOS tries to find an operating system on a hard drive to boot from. However, if it is unable to find one, then an “Operating system not found” error is displayed.
Error in BIOS Configuration
To check the BIOS settings, upon startup press F2. This will bring you to a page that you can adjust the BIOS settings and save by pressing F10.
Faulty Hard drive
Run hard disk diagnostics.
Random Shut Down/Overheating
The laptop randomly shuts down and gets hot.
Things that could cause overheating would be a poor location, poor ventilation, dust buildup on CPU and power supply, small cooling fan.
Using Laptop on top of pillow/blanket
Make sure not to use your laptop on top of a blanket or pillow as this can suffocate the fans of the laptop and cause overheating issues.
Dust buildup in vents
Keep the vents clear of dust to allow the passage of air to and from the casing to minimize overheating. Periodically clean the computer interior of dust by using a can of compressed air spray.
Insufficient Cooling for processor
The cooling fan may be too small so a replacement for a proper more efficient cooling fan may be in order. Here is a link to a guide on how to apply thermal paste to keep your processor cool and working properly: Cómo aplicar pasta térmica
Device Will Not Power On
The laptop will not respond or show any sign of powering up.
Dead Battery
The device battery may be dead. To fix this, just simply charge it.
Damaged Charging, Short Circuits
Physical or electrical damage can cause a short circuit. A short circuit will consume all available power, causing your laptop to not turn on. To fix this, try removing all things that may be a short circuit or try using a thermal imager to see where the most thermal heat is coming from and remove it.
