If your Sony BDP-BX320 BlueRay player is experiencing issues turning on, follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Faulty Power Supply
Make sure that the Sony BDP-BX320 is receiving adequate power for use.
- Ensure you use a suitable power cable, preferably the one with the device or the same power output. (100-240VAC 50/61Hz)
- Verify that you are connecting the device to a working outlet. If you need clarification on whether the outlet works, test it on another device, such as a lamp or phone charger.
- Confirm that the Power port or the barrel connector on the power cable is not damaged or interfered with. If there is any debris inside the port or barrel, carefully remove it. If the port is damaged, refer to the user manual; if the barrel is damaged, you may need to replace it.
Interrupted Shut Down
Sometimes, there can be problems with the Sony BDP-BX320 if it is not turned off correctly or entirely and needs to be restarted.
- Factory reset the device by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
- Make sure there are working batteries in the controller; if not, they should be replaced.
Damaged Motherboard
If issues persist, there may be an issue with the internal hardware.
- Confirm that the device is not overheating since this may cause the device not to turn on. Place it in a well-ventilated area and allow it to cool down before attempting to turn on.
- Check for any visual damages like dents or impact marks that may affect the device's performance.
- Follow this guide to replace the motherboard.
