The CD is not correctly set
Ensure CD is oriented correctly, and CD is secure in place. The CD should snap onto the center hub.
CD is scratched or dirty
Check CD for debris, and clean using a lint-free microfiber or cotton cloth if necessary. Check CD for scratches, and lightly polish any scratches on the disc using an abrasive toothpaste or paste car wax if necessary.
There is moisture on the lens
Open the lid and allow moisture to evaporate on its own. If the moisture remains, use a lint-free microfiber cloth to wipe the lens.
Motor or CD tray is dirty
Ensure the motor is not constricted by debris, and there is nothing in the CD tray slot.
Laser lens is not functioning properly
If the lens is clean and the CD is not being read, the lens may be burnt out. The laser lens is integrated in the motor housing. See this guide to replace the motor housing: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Panasonic+S...
Motor is not spinning
