Panasonic SL-MP73J Not Reading CDs

Is your Panasonic SL-MP73J display showing but there is no audio? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.

Ensure CD is oriented correctly, and CD is secure in place. The CD should snap onto the center hub.

Check CD for debris, and clean using a lint-free microfiber or cotton cloth if necessary. Check CD for scratches, and lightly polish any scratches on the disc using an abrasive toothpaste or paste car wax if necessary.

Open the lid and allow moisture to evaporate on its own. If the moisture remains, use a lint-free microfiber cloth to wipe the lens.

Ensure the motor is not constricted by debris, and there is nothing in the CD tray slot.
