There is Not Enough Liquid
If there is not enough liquid in the blender jar while in use, its content can rapidly scrape the sides and give off the smell of burnt plastic. Make sure to use at least enough liquid to cover the blender’s blades.
The Blender is Being Overused
Being that this is a very simple blender, it is not made to be used for more than 10 seconds at a time. Use it for 10 seconds at a time, giving it 10 seconds of rest between blends.
Blender is Leaking
The contents of the blender jar leak out.
The Lid is Not the Right Size for the Blender
The blender may leak through the top of the blender if the lid is not the right size for the blender. Check the Oster website to make sure that your lid is the right size for your blender jar, and if a replacement is needed check the Oster website.
Blender Jar is Cracked
If the blender jar is cracked, its contents will most likely leak out of the side. Check the Oster website to replace this part.
O Ring is Not Secured
If the O ring on the bottom of the blender jar is not secured, it may leak out of the bottom of the blender. Make sure the O ring is secure and use the blender to make sure that is the fix needed.

Big Chunk of Frozen Fruits/Ice Cubes Being Used at Once
If there are many frozen fruits or ice cubes being used at once, it could cause the rim to break throughout the process of blending. Try to reduce the amount of frozen fruits or ice cubes and add more water into the blender.
On button and/or other button(s) doesn’t work
The button won’t function when its plug in
Too Much Pressure When Button is Pressed
If pressing repeatedly on the buttons, the buttons would potentially be disconnected with the blender and cause problems. Try to press it once and wait for it to work.
Outlet Does Not Work
Often, some outlet/plug would not work because it does not have enough power for the blender. Try to place the blender in a different area with a different outlet and check if it is working. Replace the blender if it is still not functioning.
