Note: This troubleshooting guide covers some of the common problems with the Nokia 6133 that can occur during its product life cycle.

No Response to Commands Entered Via Keypad

Your Nokia cell phone is not responding to all or some of the keys of the keypad. Keys don't work or stick.

Drained/Bad Battery

Start by checking the battery. Make sure it is installed properly and is charged. If it will no longer charge the battery may need to be replaced.

Dirty Keypad/Keyboard

If the keys only work periodically or get stuck when depressed, there might be dirt or a sticky substance underneath them, preventing them from working properly. The keypad can be cleaned by removing the front case, and lifting away the thin keypad. This area must be cleaned carefully as it is right above the logic board and other liquid sensitive components.

Bad Keyboard

If the keyboard is still not working, it might need replacing.

Bad Logic Board

If your Nokia is still unresponsive, the problem most likely lies in the logic board.

Screen Malfunction

You cannot view what should be displayed on the screen, either partially or completely.

Blank Screen

First you should check the battery. A dead battery could always be the problem, and you don't want to waste time on more complicated procedures if this will do the trick.

If the phone turns on, but the screen does not the problem is most likely a bad screen. Fixing this involves taking apart the phone and switching the broken LCD screen with a new one.

Cracked/Broken Screen

Fixing this involves taking apart the phone and switching the broken LCD screen with a new one.

Broken/Missing/Old Parts

If you have broken or simply would like to replace a part.

Shell Replacement

You need to take apart the phone and switch the old shell with a new one.

Missing Keyboard Buttons

The most common button to break off is the top center one.

All buttons on the center keypad are connected. In order to fix any of them, you must replace all of them by taking apart the phone and switching the broken keypad with a new one.

Broken Side Buttons

After opening the case these can be lifted out and replaced.

Poor Sound Quality

Poor sound quality is most often due to interference, poor reception, user error, etc.

Dirty/Faulty Microphone/Speaker

Remove the microphone/speaker and either clean it or replace it.

MMS Sending Problem

Many users have reported having issue attaching a picture to a multimedia message. After attaching the picture, the phone will either yield a blank screen or will reset to the main screen.

Phone Overload

Resetting the phone back default settings may solve this problem.
