Monitor is blank
The display does is black when the device is turned on.
Camera is in sleep mode
The camera may be in sleep mode. Press the shutter release button halfway to turn the display on.
Bad battery
The battery may be to low and or not connected properly. Try replacing the battery.
USB cable is connected
The USB cable is connected to the device causing the display to turn off. Remove the USB cable.
LCD display may be damaged
The LCD display may be broken. Try replacing the LCD.
Camera turns off immediately
The camera turns off right after powered on.
Bad battery
The battery may be to low and or not connected properly. Try replacing the battery.
Logic board may be damaged
Flash does not fire
The flash does not fire when taking photos.
Bad battery
The battery may be to low and or not connected properly. Tryreplacing the battery.
The flash assembly may be damaged
Replace the flash assembly.
Camera is unable to focus
The camera is unable to focus when taking photos.
The lens may be damaged
No photo is taken when shutter-release button is fully pressed
Unable to take photos.
Bad battery
The battery may be to low and or not connected properly. Tryreplacing the battery.
Blocked lens
The lens is blocked by camera body. Rotate lens section until device is ready.
Memory is full and or missing
Insufficient memory to record pictures at current settings and or not present. Replace the memory card.
Logic board may be damaged
Images are defective
Images have a strong color tint, totally black and or, visibly defective.
