Speakerphone Will not Turn On
You have trouble turning the speakerphone on/off.
Device is Off
Look at the right side of the device, where the power slide switch is located. If the slide is set to the rightmost position, the device is set to the on position. If the device switch is set to the leftmost position, the device is set to the off position.
Faulty Power Adapter
To check the power adapter, ensure the adapter is plugged into either a cigarette lighter charging port in your vehicle, or into a standard house socket. Look to see if the LED light is on. If the light is on, the adapter is properly working, if the light is not on, the adapter is faulty. Consider replacing the charger.
Device Will Not Hold A Charge
Your device is not holding/receiving a charge when it is plugged in.
Faulty Battery
Ensure the power adapter is properly working, then proceed to connect it to the device. If the device is able to turn on but dies once it is unplugged, there is most likely a faulty battery. Battery replacement is recommended. Replace the battery using this guide.
Faulty Charging Port
Ensure the power adapter is properly working, then proceed to connect it to the device. If the device is still unable to turn on, the charging port may be faulty. Replace the charging port using this guide.
No Sound
You have trouble hearing the device.
Volume Set too Low
Ensure the device is on by the blue light indicator at the top middle of the device. Press the volume up button at the bottom right hand corner of the device repeatedly. If sound begins to play again, the volume was set too low.
Speaker is Faulty
Ensure the device is on and the volume up button has been clicked a sufficient number of times. If sound still does not come out of the device, one or more speakers may be faulty. Replacing the speaker or speakers is recommended using this guide.
Buttons Won’t Work
When you press a button on the device, nothing happens.
Device is Off
Look at the right side of the device, where the power slide switch is located. If the slide is set to the rightmost position, the device is set to the on position. If the device switch is set to the leftmost position, the device is set to the off position.
Button is Broken
If the device is on, and other buttons are working properly, the button that is not working may be faulty or broken. Consider replacing the button mechanism with this replacement guide.
Device Will not Pair With Cell Phone
You are having trouble connecting your cell phone with the device.
Bluetooth Not Activated
Ensure that bluetooth capabilities are turned on for your cell phone by following the user manual that came with your phone. Proceed to attempt to pair with the Jabra Freeway as normal. If the device connects, the bluetooth was not turned on. If the device does not connect, attempt to pair your phone with another bluetooth device to ensure it is working properly.
Device Bluetooth Faulty
If the bluetooth on your cell phone is in good working order, and the Freeway device is verified to be on by the blue indication light, then the device’s bluetooth antenna may be faulty. Consider replacing the antenna using this replacement guide.

How can I replace the battery? Is it special battery? From where can I get it?

There seem to be serious compatibility issues with this BT speakerphone and several popular smartphones in the past years (it's given me grief with a Samsung S1 Plus, an LG G2 and now a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4). The problem is intermittent, too: the phones connect fine, the device is usable for a couple of calls (or hours, or even days) and then the voice quality becomes awful, constantly interrupted (chopped). It feels as if the ADC circuitry stops sampling at the appropriate rate or maybe the noise cancellation algorithm goes haywire?
This becomes frustrating REALLY fast, especially for the person outside the car (they can hardly understand what you are saying and get frustrated).
I am an Electrical Engineer myself, so I tried to experiment with it a bit but to no avail. I contacted Jabra tech support and all I could get was that it may be a BT comms error & that I should reset the pairing lists (holding together Answer/end, Voice & Mute) on both devices & try again. It only seems to help temporarily. Help?

Same issue here (voices gets interrupted/chopped), as well as randomly disconnecting and reconnecting. I installed the firmware update just a few minutes ago and hope this is over now.

Hi Pete,
I’m having the same problem with mine.
Did you ever find a solution to the problem?
Thanks,
Flip.
