If your JBL Grip does not charge or power on, the issue may be related to the charging cable, port, battery, or internal board. Follow this page for solutions.
Faulty Charging Cable or Adapter
- Charging accessories may be defective.
Solution:
- Try a different USB cable.
- Try a different wall adapter.
- Plug into a different power outlet.
Dirty or Damaged Charging Port
- Dust, lint, or debris inside the charging port can block the connection.
Solution:
- Inspect the port using a flashlight.
- Gently clean with a non-metallic tool (like a toothpick).
- Avoid inserting sharp metal objects.
If the port is physically damaged, replacement may be required.
JBL Grip Charging Port Replacement
Battery Failure
- Lithium-ion batteries degrade over time and may fail completely.
Signs:
- Device only works when plugged in
- No LED charging indicator
- Device powers off immediately after unplugging
Solution:
- Replace the battery.
Faulty LED Board or Power Circuit
- If the device is charging but shows no indicator lights, the LED board may be damaged.
Solution:
- Inspect and replace the LED board if necessary.

Phillips head screwdriver, etc.
