Worn Out Battery

Battery is dead

• What to Do When the Speaker Does Not Work
• What to Do When the Voice Microphone Does Not Work

Tools needed for this are a small screw driver and a plastic pic

1. Remove the back of the phone

2. Remove the battery and SIM card(if needed)

3. Use small screw driver to remove all the screws on the back of the phone (be sure not to lose them.)

4. Pry off the inner backing with a pic

5. Figure out what is jamming the stand

6. Reverse previous steps to reassemble the HTC EVO

Possible tools needed small screw driver, plastic pics, cleaner.

1. Take picture with phone setting on a flat sturdy surface

2. If picture is still fuzzy check camera lenses

3. If smudges are present clean lenses

4. Repeat step one

5. If still fuzzy a wire is probably loose or adjustment need to be made to the lenses

When the battery is not responding, there could be a couple different reasons as to why it is not working. One reason could be that the battery is simply dead and needs to be charged. The easiest way to assess this problem is to plug the phone into the charger to add a charge to it. If the charging port does not work, you would want to purchase and external battery charger, and insert it into it to get the battery charged. Another reason is that the battery may be worn out. If this is the issue, you would need to replace the battery altogether purchasing a new one batery. Steps for replacing include:

1. Remove the back of the phone

2. Remove the battery.

3. Wait 10 seconds then replace battery and turn on phone

4. If phone does not turn on battery is probably worn out

5. Repeat step 1 and 2

6. Place the new battery into the phone, making sure the charging strips are aligned

7. Place the backing onto the phone

For this, you will need a small Phillips head screw driver, a flathead for prying, and a replacement unit. The following steps will guide you through replacing the speaker:

1. Begin by checking ear speaker, then speaker phone, and head phone

2. If none work multiple wires are loose

3. Is one is not working check the speaker to make sure it is not clogged

a. if speaker phone is clogged remove phone backing and battery

4. If clogged clean this may require disassembly

If the voice microphone isn't working, often the grounding of the microphone is off balance. The following steps will hopefully help get it to work again:

1. Remove the back of the phone

2. Remove the battery and SIM card(if needed)

3. Use small screw driver to remove all the screws on the back of the phone(be sure not to lose them.)

4. Pry off the inner backing with the flathead

5. Loosen the screw of the microphone

6. Reverse previous steps to put the phone back together
