Display
If the screen does not turn on, either it's not on or the batteries are worn out. If so, do the following:
- Press the power key to turn the device on.
- If the device does not turn on after pressing power, replace the batteries.
Dim Screen
If the characters on the display are dim and difficult to read or do not appear at all, it may be caused by the contrast setting, worn out batteries, or bad lighting/room angle.
- Adjust Contrast
- The contrast setting may be causing the difficulty if it’s set too high or low. To adjust the contrast:
- Press menu.
- Press enter to confirm the Settings selection.
- Press the arrow keys to select Contrast.
- Press enter to confirm.

- Replace the Batteries
- The dim screen may also be caused by worn out batteries. If so, replace the batteries.
- Bad Lighting or Room Angle
- Difficult to read screens may also be caused by lighting and viewing angles. Tilt the device and/or change the lighting until the characters become easier to read.
Keys not Working
If the keys are not functioning properly it may be because the keys are stuck, damaged, or the screen may be too dim. Many times resetting the device fixes these issues.
- Stuck Keys
- A stuck key may cause other keys to not work. If a key is stuck, adjust the keypad underneath the panel.
- Dim Screen
- If the screen is too dim, it makes it very difficult to see if the keys are working. If so, adjust the contrast, lighting, or viewing angle.
- Reset
- If the keys are not working and nothing solves the problem, the device may need to be reset. To do so:
- Press the power key to turn the device off and back on.
- If turning the device off and on does not work, the device may need to be fully reset. To do so:
- Locate the reset button on the back panel.
- Press the reset button with a thin pointed object (such as a paper clip).
- Remember resetting the device erases all stored memory!
- If the keys are not working and nothing solves the problem, the device may need to be reset. To do so:
- Broken Keys
- Improperly functioning keys may also be caused by damage or misalignment. If damaged, replace the keypad. If misaligned, adjust the keypad on the front panel.
Forgot Password
If a password was created but forgotten, do the following to reset the device:
- Locate the reset button on the back panel and press it with a thin pointed object (such as a paper clip).
- Remember this will delete all the memory!
Display on but not Working
If the display is on but not responding, reset the device:
- Locate the reset button on the back panel and press it with a thin pointed object (such as a paper clip).
- Remember this will delete all the memory!
If all else fails
If there is a problem with the device and all else fails, pressing power on and off, resetting the device, and replacing the batteries will fix it.
- Power
- Press the power key off and on.
- Reset
- Locate the reset button on the back panel and press it with a thin pointed object (such as a paper clip).
- Don't forget this will erase the memory!

- Battery replacement
- Locate the battery compartment on the back panel and replace the batteries.
