The white light does not turn on
The LED light inside of the device will not illuminate.
The red light is on
Even though the white light does not turn on, the red light may still be illuminated. The red LED light denotes that one or both of the bags has too much weight in it. That’s no problem. Just take the bags off of the light, empty them out completely, and then refill them with less rocks or soil. If refilling the bags does not fix the problem, you may have to replace the belt.
Neither light will turn on
The chances are that both of the lights are burnt out or have lost their connection to the power source. Grab your tools and replace the lights.
The light comes on for a couple seconds then goes off
You may see the white light come on, but it only stays illuminated for 4-5 seconds. The rocks may be unbalanced, or something is wrong with the motor.
The bags of rocks are unbalanced
If the bags of weights do not descend properly, then the bags are unbalanced. Double check and make sure that the small bag weighs 0.5-1kg and the large bag weighs 8-12kg. If you are unsure of the amount of weight in the bags, use a scale to measure the weight.
The motor is burnt out
If your rock bags are of the correct weights, but the light is still not turning on, then the motor may have burned out. You will have to replace the motor.
The dial resists turning
The dial will not turn or is hard to turn.
Dirt is caught underneath the dial
If the dial has trouble turning, you may have to remove the dial and clean the dirt underneath it.
The gear is stripped
If the dial is not turning smoothly, there may be a problem with the internal gear system inside the GravityLight. You may have to replace one or more of the gears in case the teeth have been stripped away.
The dial is moving but not adjusting the brightness
If you can turn the dial, but the light is not changing brightness, then an internal part may be broken. You will need to take the GravityLight apart to replace the broken part.
The dial is cracked
A cracked dial would cause the GravityLight to not respond to you turning the dial. If the dial is cracked then you may have to replace the dial.
The gear is stripped
If you turn the dial and you think that the gears are slipping past each other, then you may need to "'replace the internal gears"'.
The bags of rocks are not moving
The GravityLight is set up, but the bags are stationary. Nothing is happening.
The weight strap is stuck
If the weight strap is not turning smoothly, or the weight strap is damaged you may have to open up the body of the gravity light and replace the gear strap. If the strap is twisted or damaged, the strap will need to be replaced.
The Gravity Light cannot be hung
The mounting post or the post housing no longer supports the device's weight.
The post is broken
If you are having trouble hanging the device or have broken the upper section, you may have to remove and replace the mounting post.
The spring is worn out
If you consistently receive a red light whenever you put weight in the bags or the device isn’t hanging properly, you may need to remove and replace the mounting post spring.
The housing is cracked
If the housing of your device has cracked you will need to replace the gravity light housing.

Mine is making loud noises while the bag is falling and the lights aren’t turning on. What’s wrong with it?
