Audio Is Distorted
The speaker sound quality is muffled or fuzzy.
Broken/Damaged Speaker
If the audio coming out of the Bose SoundTouch 10's speaker is distorted or comes out muffled, the inner speaker may be damaged or faulty. It may need to be replaced.
Speaker Won't Charge While Connected
The speaker is connected to power, but charges slowly or not at all.
Broken Charging Port
If your Bose SoundTouch 10 is not charging when it is plugged into an electrical outlet, inspect the charging cable to ensure that it is the charging port that is damaged and not the cable. If the problem continues, the charging port may be damaged and will need to be replaced.
Dirty Charging Port
If your Bose SoundTouch 10 is not charging when it is plugged into an electrical outlet, inspect the speaker's charging port for dust/dirt that may be trapped inside. Use a toothpick or something of similar size to remove any debris.
Cannot play music via Bluetooth
The speaker is not playing music due to no Bluetooth connection.
Restart your device
If the speaker is not connecting to the device via Bluetooth the problem may be caused from the device not connecting to the speaker. Simply, restart the phone or computer normally and try to reconnect to the speaker.
Interference with other devices
If there are other devices such as Wi-Fi printers, cordless phones, or another devices that communicate on the same 2.4 GHz frequency it could cause it to interfere with the connection. If there is a device, either remove it in the area of speaker or unplug the device.
Clearing the pairing list
When you connect a device to the speaker the connection is stored into the system's pairing list. To clear the list of previous-paired devices, press and hold the AUX button for about 10 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator double-blinks white. This will allow the speaker to be paired up again with the same device.
Broken/Defective Motherboard
If your Bose SoundTouch 10 does not connect wirelessly to your device, or the wireless connection is often lost, the motherboard may be damaged or defective and will need to be replaced.
Trouble with Stereo Pairing
Unable to pair speaker to Stereo.
Interference
If your Bose SoundTouch 10 is not connecting with the stereo, it's possible your router may be getting interference which is causing the signal strength to drop to your speakers. Do you have any other electronic devices nearby that could be causing interference? Try unplugging these to see if it helps.
Low signal
If your Bose SoundTouch 10 is not connecting with the stereo, please make sure the SoundTouch systems are within range of the router. The reason it could not be connecting is a low signal. If possible try to limit the amount of other WIFI devices around the speakers. Keeping other WIFI more than 3 ft away will usually increase the reliability of the speakers. If this does not work, reset all devices involved (SoundTouch 10 speakers, router, range extenders/repeaters) by unplugging them from power for one minute.
Device Randomly Turning Off/On
Trouble with speaker turning off/on.
Turning Off
If your Bose SoundTouch10 stereo is randomly turning off, there could be an issue with the battery inside the system. If this is the case, there are a few steps you can take to fix it. Make sure the device is fully charged before using it or else it could turn off randomly quicker than usual. If that doesn't work, completely reset the device and turn it back on. If the device says it is fully charged and it is still turning off quicker than usual, you may have a battery issue, and you should purchase a new battery and replace the old one in the speaker.
Turning On
If your Bose SoundTouch10 is randomly turning on then please make sure that the device is completely shut off. If the device is put on some type of "sleep mode" or you forgot to turn it off, then there is a good chance it will continue to play music even if you do not tell it to. So make sure the device is completely shut off!
