Air Fryer is Over Heating

Food in the air fryer is getting burned when the appropriate settings are set.

Improper amount of voltage

The air fryer has a required limit of voltage to effectively function. To make sure your air fryer is receiving the proper voltage, you need to know the amount of voltage watts it needs. If the air fryer's lifespan can decrease, cause it to overheat, or stop working if not getting the correct voltage. Air fryers run on around 1700 to 1800 watts while using 15 amps and can work in homes that contain up to 110 volt outputs.

Air fryer is overused in a short amount of time

Typically if you're making a lot of food for a lot of people, it’s best if you let your air fryer cool down. Making multiple batches of food can overwork the air fryer causing it to overheat. Try having different cooking plans that require you to use different cooking units. Ovens are also a good alternative to an air fryer.

Air Fryer isn't Heating Up

The air fryer screen turns on but when you select start cooking, it doesn’t heat up.

Faulty heating element

The heating element is what emits the heat to fry the food in the basket. If this heating element is faulty, it could cause the fryer to not heat up. If this is the case, you can replace the heating element of the air fryer.

Blown thermal fuse

The thermal fuse is responsible for detecting excessively high temperatures in the air fryer. If this thermal fuse is blown, it disabled all electrical continuity, no longer allowing the fryer to heat up. If this is the case, you can replace the thermal fuse of the air fryer.

Air Fryer Makes Loud Noises

When the air fryer turns on and the basket is heating properly, the air fryer makes loud noises while cooking.

Item lodged in the fan

The fan is what allows the movement of the hot air in the air fryer to provide an even and effective cook. The fan is located in the top portion of the air fryer. Check around the fan blades to make sure that there are no items or parts interfering with the fan.

The fan isn’t fully secured

Before checking the fan, make sure that the device is unplugged. Then check if the fan is secured or attached to the singular point to the upper portion of the air fryer. If the fan is loose enough to where it can tilt side to side, then it isn’t fully secured on. By using the screwdriver, depending on the air fryer, you can tighten the central part of the fan to the frame of the air fryer.

Power Button is Unresponsive

The power button won’t light up when pressed.

Food basket is not in place

If the food basket is not fully pushed in, the air fryer may not be responsive. Most models will make a clicking or dull thudding sound when secure.

Safety switch is on

Check to see if there is a safety switch located on the back. This switch prevents the unit from being turned on when it is not needed. If the switch is on while the air fryer is off, it will not be able to turn on.

Blown or fried fuse

The fuse should last anywhere between 12 to 24 months, but excessive use may cause the fuse to blow. If it is blown, the fuse must be replaced.

Air fryer is not plugged in

If it is not plugged in, the air fryer will not turn on.

Faulty outlet

Sometimes outlets are lacking the electric current due to a circuit breaker being turned off. By checking your breaker box, you can see if the outlet is receiving electricity.

Touchscreen is Unresponsive

Your device is plugged in but the touch screen does not light up, and the buttons are not responsive.

Air fryer is not properly plugged in

Make sure that the plug is securely in the outlet, and check to see that the outlet is on and working properly.

Broken power cord

The power cord can get damaged by wear and tear from twisting, bending, or stretching. The cord could also get melted from hot surfaces around it. If that is the case, you need to repair or replace the power cable.

Faulty software

If the software or the control board has failed the touchscreen wont work and you will need to replace it. Following our guide can help you resolve your problem.

Dirt or moisture on the air fryer display

Another reason the air fryer touch screen is not working may also be due to dirt, unwanted grease, or moisture on its surface. Food residue, unwanted grease, or moisture on the touch screen air fryer can cause it to malfunction. To solve this problem, we recommend unplugging the air fryer and gently cleaning.
