Overheated Computer
Computer is physically too hot and sometimes shuts down because of it.
Fan Issues
There can be a problem with movement of the fan. Cleaning the fan is often the best solution. To clean the fan, you need to remove the four screw on the back of the laptop and then pry up the back cover. You will be able to see and properly clean the fan with an air compressor or an electronic safe wipe. If it still doesn’t work, then a you may need to buy a fan replacement.
Dust Buildup
There can also be the buildup of dust. You can use an air compressor to clean your computer.
Overworked Graphics Card
There can be issues the graphics card. If a game is too heavy for your graphic cards, lowering your computer's quality should reduce the stress on the card.
Fails to Charge
Device is unable to regain battery charge.
Broken Charger
Make sure the charger is plugged in and the charge light is on. If the light is off and it is plugged in, then the charger is probably broken. You may need to purchase a replacement charger.
Broken Battery
Make sure the charger is plugged in to both the wall and the computer. If the computer turns on only when the charger is plugged in, then the battery is probably broken. You will need to replace the battery using this iFixit Guide for Asus X551M-RCLN03 Battery Replacement.
Unresponsive Keyboard or Keys
The keyboard won't respond when the keys are pressed or they are missing.
Broken Keyboard
If the keyboard continuously does not respond, you may have to purchase another one.
Sticky Keys
There maybe be some material under the keys that are preventing them from being pressed down. To fix this, remove the key and clean the space below it with an electronic safe wipe. After it is cleaned, place the keys back to their original position.
Keys Are Missing
If the keys are missing, then you will need to replace them or purchase replacement keys.
Frozen/Unresponsive Screen
Screen image remains still and will not respond to commands.
Battery issues
Remove the battery and hold power button for at least 10 sec. Replace battery, plug in charger and reattempt to power up computer.
Hard drive issue
Could be result of hard drive being out of place. So, remove the key board plate cover to make sure the hard drive has not been bumped out of place and is located correctly.
