Connect the charging cable into the power adapter and plug it in. If the charge light on the adapter is not on and the cable is plugged in, then the power adapter might be damaged. Consider replacing your power adapter.

If you checked the power adapter and the light was on, connect the adapter to the laptop. If the laptop only powers up when the adapter is plugged in no matter how long you charge it, then the battery might be faulty. Consider replacing the battery following this guide.

The laptop does not display clear or correct images.

Connect your laptop to another monitor. If the other monitor also displays distorted or incorrect images, then your video card is faulty. Consider replacing the video card.

If the video card works properly and the second monitor shows correct images, then your laptop screen may be defective. Consider replacing the screen using this guide.

The computer will not connect to the internet, or the connection keeps getting dropped.

Ensure that the Wi-Fi source that you are connected to is working properly. If able, reset the router and try to re-establish a connection. Contact your Wi-Fi provider if necessary to check if the router is working.

If your Wi-Fi source is functioning properly and connectivity issues still persist, then your Wi-Fi card might be defective. Consider replacing the Wi-Fi card using this guide.

When the keyboard is pressed no input is registering on the computer.

Connect a separate keyboard to your laptop and test to see if that keyboard is working. If the separate keyboard functions properly, then the main keyboard on the laptop is faulty. Consider replacing your keyboard using this guide.

If the keyboard has been replaced and the computer still doesn't register input from it, your motherboard is faulty. Consider replacing your motherboard using this guide.

If particular key or keys do not respond to input, they may be stuck in place by something wedged underneath it. Remove the key and check for any particles or dust underneath. Clean it thoroughly and put the key back in place.

If any keys are missing from the keyboard, replace them using this guide.

Computer will not boot up correctly, or crashes in the middle of tasks.

Clean your ventilation system using a small vacuum cleaner, a dust blower, or a Q-tip.

If cleaning the computer did not help and it still crashes during normal operating or during memory-intense tasks, or does not boot up when powered on, then your RAM is either bad or insufficient. Install a new RAM card using this guide.
