Computer won't turn on

No matter how many times you press the power button, it just won't start.

Out of Power

Your computer just may need to be charged. Plug it into your adapter and make sure your device is plugged into a working outlet.

Damaged Battery

The battery may be damaged. Plug the laptop into the adapter and see if it powers on. If it does, your battery may need to be replaced.

Computer doesn't charge

You plug in the charger but that battery keeps draining.

Wrong/Broken Adapter

You may be using the wrong adapter, or it could be broken. Plug the adapter into a working outlet. If the light on the adapter doesn't light up, your power adapter is broken. In this case, you'll need to purchase a replacement.

Damaged Battery

The battery may be damaged and won't charge. Plug the device into a working charger. If the computer powers on, but the battery doesn't charge you have a broken battery and it may need to be replaced.

Computer is Overheating

The computer heats up while it's being used

Damaged Battery

The computer may be heating up due to it being damaged and not working efficiently. The battery may be damaged if it is the component of the computer causing it to overheat. To fix this issue you may need to replace the battery.

Unclean/Dirty Fan

The computer might be heating up due to dust and dirt clogging up the fan. To fix this issue you need to open up the back of the computer and clean the fan with compressed air. If this does not resolve the issue, you may have to replace the fan.

Sticky/Broken Keys

The keys are stuck, missing, or won't respond.

Sticky Keys

The keys might be sticky due to grime on the keyboard. Take a cotton swab and soak it in rubbing alcohol. Rub the swab around the outsides of the sticky key. Repeat as necessary to remove all the stickiness.

Keys not Responding

The keyboard may be broken. Restart your netbook to see if the problem persists. If it does you may have to replace the key.

Computer Running Slow

Actions take longer to perform than they should

Netbook has been on for too Long

Your netbook may begin to perform poorly if it has not been turned off in awhile. To remedy the problem simply turn off or restart your netbook

Too many Programs Running

Your computer’s performance will decline if you have too many programs running at once. Close out any programs you are not currently using and performance should improve.

Processor is Overheated

A computer’s processor is very energy intensive and is the hottest component of your computer. This problem is especially prevalent in smaller computers. Shut your computer off and check to see if the fan is working properly. If it is not working you may have to add or replace fans.
