Respuesta a "Why is my touch screen function not responding"What probably happened is that the cable for the Digitizer got loosened or disconnected. Use this guide to open the phone up and see if the cable is still seated properly (If you don’t have the required tools, especially the heat gun, I’d advise you to get them. They’re vital for people who repair their own phones). If it is, then it may be a component of the LCD/Digitizer that is broken, meaning that you’d have to get a replacement. You can get the part from here or search online to find a cheaper alternative. Carpe Diem, Minas

Respuesta a "Screen issues after replacing"Do you need the data on your phone? If not, try to get into the bootloader and do a factory reset. Otherwise, connect you phone to the PC and use a program like OnePlus Switch to try and backup your data. It looks a bit to me like the proportions of the buttons aren’t completely right, which may have occured due to the LCD/Digitizer replacement. If you have any more questions concerning this, just post a comment! Carpe Diem, Minas

Respuesta a "Why is my battery health percentage so high?"I’d agree that it’s probably be a bad battery. Whenever you start using a phone again after a long period, let it charge overnight without touching it. the battery indicator will usually be messed up and it takes a while for it to reset. For continued usage of your phone, let the battery cycle. This means charge it fully, then use it until it’s almost completely empty (don’t let it get completely empty, this may harm your phone, so 10-15% should be good), and then charge it fully again without using it. This should improve battery life a bit, but honestly it’s actually really easy to replace the battery. You can use this guide (it’s dead simple) after buying a replacement battery, and then your phone should be working fine again! Carpe Diem, Minas

Respuesta a "audio port broken needs replace?"From what I can see of this teardown video for a similar laptop, it might have to be that you have to replace the whole motherboard if you want to do it simply. There is a possibility of soldering and replacing purely the headphone jack component, but that’s out of my expertise area and pretty hard as far as I understand. I also haven’t found this part online anywhere. You can obviously bring it to a repair shop, but it would be pretty expensive. The cheapest alternative is to get yourself a pair of USB/bluetooth headphones. I have a laptop with a similar problem (except that the jack doesn’t work at all) and use USB headphones that work just fine. Carpe Diem, Minas

Respuesta a "Why will Windows not recognize this device?"Among the other programs suggested here, I would recommend Shareit. It’s free, available on both windows and android, and has a high rate of transfer. I use it whenever I transfer data between my pc and my phone or between an old phone and a new phone. It has some ads, but you can easily uninstall and reinstall it whenever you’re not using it. In consideration of the cable connection problem, are the device drivers installed correctly? If you are on Windows 7, you may have to install the drivers manually (If you’re on windows 10 though they usually install automatically). When you connect the pad to the PC (Make sure to enable MTP or PTP!). open “Device Manager” from the settings panel and see if the Pad is recognized. If it has a yellow warning sign or has a vague name (such as simply USB DEVICE or ANDROID DEVICE), it’s possible that the drivers aren’t installed correctly. If there is no recognition at all, this could point to a faulty USB port, a bad cable, or the port of the tablet itself is faulty. I...

Respuesta a "Does replacing the glass/LCD affect the ability to pair with a device?"Apple Watch Series 3 screen replacement post probably answers your question (Read Dan’s answer, it talks about your problem). From what I understand from the post, the NFC chip is paired to the mainboard and thus will cause a problem during replacement on the series 3. Therefore, you will probably have problems after replacing the screen. This ifixit guide is decent for replacing the S3 with an S2 screen, where the author proposes a solution by soldering the S3 NFC chip to the S2 screen and then using it. However, there is no mention for problems with pairing to another device, so if you don’t mind not using Apple Pay, you can use the S3 screen. Otherwise you’ll have to do the tricky operation with the NFC chip and the S2 screen. Carpe Diem, Minas

Respuesta a "Secure folder was added to my phone by someone else."By secure folder I guess you mean this. Theoretically, if you’re not interested in the contents, you should be able to uninstall the secure folder app that was used to create the folder. This app will probably have been renamed to something else to divert suspicion, so I would recommend going through the apps on your phone and deleting any that seem strange to you. On the other hand, if you do wish to find the contents on the folder, it might be a bit harder. I’ve done some googling, but have found no methods to bypass the lock. If you have an afternoon free you might want to sit around searching a bit. Honestly, it’s not going to be easy (as far as I know) if your ex doesn’t at least help out. The secure folder seems to be connected to his account, meaning that probably only he has access to it. To open it you’d need something like a PIN, pattern, passcode or biometric verification such as fingerprint authentication. He could’ve stored files, apps, etc on there. Furthermore, if the cloud backup function...

Respuesta a "Video works intermittently ."I’d probably chalk it down to either a corrupted BIOS or a faulty video cable, but I’m not sure which one. Try connecting an external monitor to your laptop and then booting the PC, to see if it works. Next, try and see if you can find an update for your BIOS and any updates for your laptop in general. The rebooting will be problematic for the update, so try to avoid it if you at all can. After that, remove the hard drive and then try to boot the laptop. If that doesn’t work, remove each one of the RAM sticks to see if it is a RAM problem, then remove all the RAM sticks to see if the RAM boot error comes up (the laptop will start beeping). Finally, see if you can replace the laptop screen. This might not work, so I don’t recommend it, but try and find a replacement online and see if you can switch it out. At that point it might just be earlier to bring it to a repair shop. I hope this helps! Carpe Diem, Minas

Respuesta a "How can I fix my phones touchscreen from working at all"For water damage a good trick I like to use is to switch the phone off and place it in a dry bag of rice for at least 24 hours. This will leech the water out of your phone and hopefully solve the problem! If this doesn’t work, you may have to replace your phone’s screen. There are many guides for this online, but hopefully it won’t have to come to that. Carpe Diem, Minas

Respuesta a "Will this replacement battery work fine?"My recommendation is: be careful. Replacement batteries always work best if they come from the original company that manufactured the laptop. Your replacement battery isn’t (as far as I can see), and thus might cause problems with your laptop. As long as everything seems to work mainly fine without any errors, I’d leave it in, but the second you start smelling smoke or hear strange sounds, get it out immediately. Keeping the old battery would be a good idea if you could keep it in a cool and dry place, otherwise dispose of it responsibly. The problems you are having with sleep and shut down might be related to the battery, but also might have to do with the upgrade to windows 10. If you have some time, first try putting your old battery in and then seeing if you have power issues with sleep and shutdown. Otherwise you could install a different OS (Such as Ubuntu) and see if the problem still occurs there. All in all, you can never be too careful, but honestly I think you’ll be fine! The best option (also...
