So, by mistake, I didn't turn off the ipod before I unplugged the screen. I was testing it to see if I had the digitizer...

I meant to update this sooner. I just unplugged the new screen,let the battery die and when I plugged it back up and ten plugged the device in, the screen powered on as normal. Not sure what caused it to do that, but I'm glad it's working now. Thanks guys!
