Hi Scott. Yes as long as the motherboard your replacing it with is not iCloud locked too. Have you not tried re setting the password? If you still have access to the e mail registered to the apple id you can e mail yourself a link to reset here. www.iforgot.apple.com If that fails contact apple support I've always found them very helpful & have always helped my clients reset their passwords as long as you can satisfy them its your apple id. you can contact them here https://www.apple.com/uk/support/icloud/... hope this helps a bit.
Sorry but I think you have been duped. The so called Apple Authorised repair centre in Shanghai is a fake. Apple do not give anyone authorised repair centre status to anyone for repair of mobile devices. They do have authorised repair centres for the computers but absolutely not for repairing iPhones ETC. Also just for the record anyone who advertises they use genuine apple parts on iPhones & iPads are lying also Apple do not sell parts to anyone. They don't do any of this because they make so much money from repairing mobile devices themselves.
Do you not have iPhoto installed on your iMac? If your photo's are in the camera roll on your iPod simply open iPhoto then plug your iPod into your Mac with the data lead & iPhoto should give you the option to import. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083. If they are photo's that were synced onto the iPod from a different library then Phoneview would allow you to view & transfer your photo's from the iPod. http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/
Have you made sure you have folded the flex towards the LCD & not nipped it when you put the screen down. If it folds back under the screen it can kink the flex when you take the screen back up look at the flex does it have a crease in it?
Hi Guys. OK ive pretty much followed all your suggestions & i'm still getting the same issue. I have not replaced the screen or done any other work to the iPhone this is the issue it was brought to me for. I have replaced the speaker module with the antenna with 3 new replacement parts. I have also tried a different sim in there one sim gives me a 34g or gprs icon but still says no service. Any other suggestions at all guys?
Have you tried connecting it to a power supply or plugging it into iTunes? If the power flex has been damaged this may be why you cannot boot the phone. Plugging the iPhone into a power source should boot the phone. At least you would find out if you have replaced the screen successfully.
