I currently am a Data Science undergraduate student at UMass Dartmouth. I chose my major as I became interested in programming in high school but also enjoy solving math problems. After school, I am looking to become a data analyst for a small business or nonprofit. My dream is also to take care of my two cats and get more into cooking. My skills include programming in Python, Java, and R, along with understanding different statistical models. I am proud of several school projects in which I had to create reports on the analysis of hurricane paths, academic performance factors, and the relationship of crude oil prices on outside industries. Starting with iFixit will be my first experience with repairing more mechanical things. I do sew so I have experience fixing rips and tears in cloth. I would like to learn how to fix my broken fitness tracker watch. At my previous college, I was on the dean's list. At UMass Dartmouth, I go to the Math Circle club and I am a part of the Spring musical, Rent. In my spare time, I enjoy baking and playing cozy videogames. This project will allow me to better break down problems into manageable steps and be able to reiterate those steps to other parties. Apart from my school life, I work as a barista and live on a little farm where we have chickens, goats, a horse, a dog, and cats.
