My name is Nick, I attend the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and am a Mechanical Engineering major. I chose this because I enjoy designing things. I hope to be an automotive engineer and work for Porsche or BMW. Some skills I possess consist of SOLIDWORKS experience, Autodesk Inventor, and COMSOL. I've recently taken apart and rebuilt a motor to see how it works. Upon graduating High School, I received the Presidential Award for Academic Excellence. I'm currently the secretary for the American Society of Mechanical Engineering Club and a member of the SOLIDWORKS club. In my spare time, I enjoy detailing cars. This project of taking apart a Sonos speaker and learning how it works will benefit me because I'll be able to apply the knowledge to other similar products in the future in case they break.
