Welcome to my profile! My name is Bela Hernandez and I'm a junior at the University of North Texas. I am a biology major on the pre-med track. Helping people is one of my greatest aspirations and I believe that everything I do should help me achieve that. Medcine is the field I feel strongest about but I love being creative and getting a chance to express myself with art or cooking!

I'm a queer, woman of color and very proud of my herritage! I'm a pharmacutical technician and have been for almost three years now. I don't plan on having a career in pharmacuticals but I love my job and the experience I gain from it is irreplacable. My end career goal is to be a pediatric surgeon with a specialty in neurosurgery. I live to help people and helping children has been my biggest dream since I was eight years old. I'm happily in love with my partner and together we parent the goofiest rescue puppy named Kahula who means the world to us!

I'm a science woman at heart but I love the arts and baking! My favorite medium is fabrics and yarn but I'm also well versed in paints and clays. I don't have a whole lot of experience with repairs of a technical sort but I have done quite a lot of trial and error with regards to crafts so I'm more than able to help with problems that arise in that area. Sewing, rug making, knitting, and cross stitching are some of my favorite activities but I also love mural painting and clay throwing with my partner. I also really love reading! I'm currently reading the second Mistborn book by Brandon Sanderson!
