I was born and raised in the mid coast region of Maine in the fishing village of Owls Head. I’ve been married to Katalin Vecsey (a native of Budapest, Hungary) since 1991 and in 2002 we had our first child, Kelen, we also have two Mini-Schnauzers, Martha who was rescued from a puppy mill and Isaac who we also adopted. I enjoy being outdoors, fly fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, vintage enduro racing, electronics, you name it. You can read more about me on my personal website here.
I am very interested in the use of mobile technology particularly the iPhone and iPad in education and behavioral health, I also experiment with such things as energy recycling and thermoelectrics. I recently started a small business Fourthwall Technologies concentrated on use of iPads in education, healthcare, government and commerce, you can find out more about my business here.
Currently I’m working on a Doctor of Arts degree in leadership studies at Franklin Pierce University.

Responder a:8970 ford new holland won't start or move and cluster goes crazySounds a couple things; 1) like a battery with a problem I’ve seen a car with bad battery (though held a charge, evidently had bad cell) do this. The other culprit I’ve seen do this is a bad CDI or combination failing CDI & relay. You likely have tried this, but if not, take out the CDI box and heat it up with a hot air gun until it’s almost to holt to hold then immediately plug it in while still hot and try starting. Sounds frustrating, I wish you luck!
Responder a:1997 Yamaha 9.9 outboard starting/stalling problem90% of the time this type of issue is due to gunk in your carb, but before you do a carb rebuild (it’s not that hard) remember this. Rule of thumb, you need compression, spark and fuel to make an engine run. Most 9.9hp are two cylinders, this procedure works for two and four stroke engines. Take out the spark plugs. Put the spark plugs back in the spark plug boot (make sure they’re in there good and tight) ground the exposed tips of the plugs on a piece of metal (I usually wedge them against one of the bolts) and make sure it stays there, do not touch the spark plug and pull the starter cord and look for spark. If you see whitish blue spark then that’s not the issue. If you only see spark on one spark plug, swap the plugs. At this point you should trace each the spark plug cord to coil and remember (or mark like I do) which is which, I usually number the coil for the top cylinder 1 and bottom 2. With the plugs swapped to the other boot/coil, make sure they’re grounded and pull the cord again. If you see only ...
Responder a:not chargingHolding the charging plug at an angle will speed up the separation of the charging port from the MB. What you are doing is applying pressure to contact points which have already started to separate from the MB, and forcing them to touch unfortunately each time you do that you're flexing already brittle solder on those lose connection pins. It can as a last ditch effort give you a charge before it runs dry so you can get data off of your Kindle.
Responder a:not chargingI picked up a Kindle Fire for $25 with the dreaded battery too low to charge message. Indeed the Kindle was not charging, when I attempted to power it on it briefly flashed the battery was low then went off, the orange charging light would not come on. I figured since the Kindle has a notoriously weak charging port it was likely that was broken, so I followed the very good instruction for teardown here on iFixit to remove the motherboard for inspection. Not only was the charging port loose, it was completely detached! A close look at the charger port attachment shows it is indeed very poorly designed for constant plugging and unplugging, and probably heating and cooling. There are two metal attachment prongs on the charging port which fit in corresponding holes in the MB to hold the port. There are two flush solder points for power on either side of the port (the design would have been significantly better if these two points were through the board and not soldered on the surface), and five micro pins. The so...
Responder a:logic board in GSM iPhone 4 can fix into iPhone 4 cdma? No. Not unless ypu were going to do quite a bit of moding. For example there is a cutout on the bottom of the board for button style phone vibrator, and corresponding connectors, and several different control connector locations on the top of the mainboard, etc. of course the SIM card would need to be put in the mainboard with some sort of custom carriage when installing. Sounds like a fun mod project, albeit a tad impractical.
