Hello! My name is Youness Elfath and I am a Psychology major at the University of North Texas. What inspired me to study psychology was a desire to understand not only ourselves but the world around us. After graduating my goal is to be a clinical psychologist.

I’ve been a tech hobbyist my whole life and have experience in building and repairing computers and some Python. My proudest creation is building my own PC when I was 13. It really acted as a great gateway for me into other things and expanded my knowledge of tech as a whole. I am a very hands-on learner so practical application is very valuable to me. My team and I won 1st place for Mobile Application Design at the Muslim Interscholastic Tournament. My main role was designing the UI and the creative direction behind the project.

Another field that I have experience in is audio-visual production and music. I play keyboard, guitar, and most recently bass. Within the last couple of years, I’ve learned how to use Ableton to record and produce music. To reinforce those skills, I’ve also taken a course in A/V production and know how to operate Adobe Premiere Pro and use it to produce film and media.

iFixit was a huge resource of information and guidance for me growing up, especially when trying to learn new things. Most of the skills I have came from learning online and teaching myself with whatever material I had at my disposal and most of that was iFixIt. I’m excited to start working on this project and be a part of improving the site!
