Wenn schon, empfiehlt sich das neue Kabel mit weissen Schrumpfschläuche am Magsafe Stecker und an der andere Seite zu verstärken.

Always leave a loop before winding the cable along the wings.

Closing the case was a pain: the wings springs must get precisely on place. That was one of the most difficult part.
And finally, as I explained in step 9 shrink the sleeves on both sides of the cable: Magsafe and Power supply.

Now it's a great time to pull two 4 mm shrink sleeves along the cable: one for the magsafe side, another one for the power supply side.
If Apple had done that, we wouldn't be here...

I preferred to solder the cable directly to the PCB that isn't that difficult.

The best solvent for leaked alkaline batteries is… tap water!
