Thanks for your message! This guide refers to the SCPH-900xx models, your model is a SCPH-7700x model so it‘s no wonder that it differs. Unfortunately there isn’t a separate page for that model yet but feel free to create a specific model page and add some useful manuals.
The PS2 shown in the guide is a European model (SCPH-90004) which has a CMOS battery. The guide mentions that other region models may not have a clock battery which could be the case on 01 models (Northern America).
