Aaron, Good afternoon! When the screen was replaced, was the ear speaker/proximity sensor transferred from the old screen? (more than likely yes, but always like to ask) If it was not, that is your issue. Those need to be with the original board. From what you are describing, your phone is ghost touching. More than likely the result of a defective screen. Be very careful about your lock screen with the phone ghost touching. That security message you saw is just the first. It will then lock you out for 15 minutes, then 30 minutes, then an hour, then one more chance. At that point the phone will say “disabled - connect to itunes” at which point your only option is a factory restore which zaps all your data. With the ghost touching, the phone could type your passcode over and over in your pocket without you knowing. Best advice is to get another screen and give it a go. I see a lot of defective XR screens in my shop. Hope this helps! Roy
Alistair, Good afternoon! I have seen this issue many times with replacement batteries. More than likely you did get a defective battery. Check with the seller to see what their warranty period is and try to get a replacement. I just had a note 8 do this same thing a few weeks ago. Hope this helps! Roy
Hans, If I am correct, that is part of the antenna system. I have knicked one before when taking the back off. That incident did not seem to have an affect on service, but I cant speak as to a full tear. Best advise is to reassemble and see how the service is. I hope this helps! Roy
Good afternoon! I have run into that with a customer MacBook recently. I essentially tricked the computer by using terminal and removing the “applesetupdone” file to make the laptop start up in setup mode. That will allow you to create a new user (make sure it is admin) and then use that user to reset the password for the needed user. CNET also has something that may be helpful, but I have not tried. https://www.cnet.com/how-to/you-forgot-your-macs-password-heres-how-to-get-back-into-your-locked-down-computer/ Hope this helps! Roy
Sadath, Good afternoon! That is mostly correct. The LCD on most devices is typically fused to the glass touch digitizer. We do almost all of our repairs at my store with combo parts. The right part helps create the best post repair experience. I hope this helps! Roy
I run a CPR Cell Phone Repair store and see all kinds of fun problems come through! I have a love for electronics and repair. I will try to be as helpful as possible!
