The blade just pops off when you pull at it on the blade side.

The trimmer here came with two different blade types to swap, and I think it's advised to also remove them after use for cleaning.

So if you never removed them there might be quite some dirt behind it, be prepared for that ;)

It appears this is indeed the way approval works, and according to the iFixit account on Mastodon, the ownership indication would be a bug.

If this is the case, @krisrodriguez please accept my apologies, I hope the bug gets fixed because now every guide is co-authored by staff even when it is not. Which I found insulting.

I just fixed an IQ-XS with additional markings "Light T DC 42"

The shell was plastic, and the lens was actually held by the two gaps in the shell where the clear plastic shows through (on the side), the black tabs did not seem to do anything.

Opened it but did not manage without a crack in the plastic (at one gap)

The issue with this light was the shoddy soldering of the wires at the back

Not sure if I should create a separate guide for this plastic model?

Armin, als je enkel dat probleem hebt als je de pit gebruikt (en niet bv dat hij begint te vonken als hij uit staat) dan zou ik ook denken dat het de sensor in de pit is. Misschien heb je geluk en is die ‘generiek’ voor meerdere modellen van Miele (wat bij de knoppen bijvoorbeeld niet zo is) en is hij nog te krijgen.

Ik weet verder niets van die sensor die de vlam detecteert dus daar kan ik je niet verder helpen, sorry

De kookplaat hangt in een gat, rondom steekt een rand uit die bovenop het keukenblad ligt. Je kan er best met een dun mesje proberen rondom gaan als er silicone of dergelijke onder zit.

Bij ons zitten er schuiven onder, dus ik kon van onder uit wat omhoog duwen.

Wat je vraag betreft: hangt er van af wat er defect is natuurlijk. Ik heb al twee keer een knop terug aan de praat gekregen, en één keer heeft een technieker een knop vervangen (dat was voor ik ‘m zelf begon te openen)

Je kookplaat kan inderdaad vastzitten aan het keukenblad, maar er is meer dan die glasplaat die je ziet, er hangt een metalen behuizing onder hoor, en deze gids gaat vooral over het openen van dat geheel.

Dus jouw eerste stap is om het geheel uit het keukenblad te tillen, en dan kan je beginnen met openmaken als in stap 1
