Hey Bill Not entirely sure your concern but here is some tips that could help. (1) To disable overclocking (turbo boost) you will need to use some software to disable turbo boost. If you look this up you can find some software like Turbo Boost Switcher (2) If the fan runs excessively and the MacBook is hot too often, try to carefully remove the screws and keep track of their placement, remove the bottom and clear any dust from the fan and heatsink. Hello This happens when the iPhone has a disabled passcode attempt and the battery dies effectively resetting the clock to 0 (Jan 1st 1970). Have you tried seeing if connecting to iTunes will update the time? I’ll see if I can look into more complex workarounds to share with you.

Hello Mayer With Finder open, go to the top left and click Finder > Preferences. Here under General, ensure Hard Disks is checked and it should display the attached storage devices on the desktop. You can also add them to the side bar in the finder in these preferences as well Edit: Thanks for pointing out you have tried the above. Ensure icons aren’t display off screen you can try right click the desktop area and “clean up” by kind or any option. If the setting is not working you may need to reset the preferences plist for Finder by removing it. Take a backup of this file if you would like. Go to Finder and open the "Go" menu -> Go to Folder enter ~/Library/Preferences/ Locate file com.apple.finder.plist Backup this file, then delete it. Then restart your Mac. Repeat above to re-enable the Hard Disk display on desktop. Hope this helps!

Hi Nina If you are certain this is your phone (such as lock screen wall paper matches) please refrain from further password attempts. If you happen to have synced with a Computer you “trusted” recently you can backup the phone as long as you have not disabled it. Additionally, please try the emergency dial screen and verify you can enter the numbers correctly. It may be possible you received a bad screen and your touches are not entering properly. You would want to avoid disabling phone you only have 10 incorrect attempts. Best of luck!

Ensure plastic part of lightning connector sits flush when plugged in. If it doesnt, there may be debris in the end of the Jack. Try a tooth pick or a plastic floss pick to remove dirt at the bottom of the port. The lightning cord should push in and click into place, with the connector plastic flush against the bottom of the phone

Hello Even with loose adhesive the display should not lift from the frame very much. What will make the display raise significantly from the frame would be battery expanding. The battery is on the left side of the phone (when looking at the screen) and will push the display out when it begins to expand. Please seek battery replacement as lithium batteries can be risky when they become puffed up or damaged. If you’re lucky the screen shall be re-used and you can reapply adhesive for the frame. You will need a digitizer, not a LCD, the LCD is the part with the picture, which is working fine. The digitizer is the glass piece that you touch with your fingers. These are very easy to find, i recommend purchasing one with the frame and homebutton already attached.

Replacing the display can cause issues with Apple Pay. If possible, to reduce the likelihood of problems, delete all your Apple Pay account info before the replacement, and then re-enter it with the new display installed.
