This was for a class assignment. Easy points. Thanks. Do agree, if you can't figure out how to remove a battery on this device you probably shouldn't proceed, but it is what it is. This is part of the larger teardown guides too that require you to remove the battery otherwise the rest of the case won't open so it kind of had to be included. Cheers

You should probably disconnect the battery immediately after opening the laptop. Don’t want to risk damaging your nice hardware.

There are six screws not five. The sixth is to ‘above’ the lone screw on the right.
