You might need to adjust your trackpad. I'd recommend fully removing it, cleaning the area around the trackpad assembly, and then reinstalling it. Make sure to adjust the trackpad screw underneath the front lip of the trackpad so that it makes a good physical click. If that doesn't help then you might need to replace the trackpad. Good luck!
Leer másTo me it sounds like the internal SSD might've started to fail. If the SSD is connected properly but it doesn't show up at all in Disk Utility, it's most likely due to the SSD failing. If the data is important I would recommend contacting a data recovery facility for options. To repair the device you'll most likely need to replace the SSD. Here's an option that I found online. Good luck!
Leer másI'm not sure that the newer models (2016 and newer) have power on pads. I wasn't able to find anything online for those. Good luck!
Leer másMy best guess is that this is due to the GPU overheating, which is a common problem on these model devices. I'm suspecting it might require GPU replacement to resolve. Good luck!
Leer másThe storage drive in the Retina 2012 15-inch MacBook Pro is not a 2.5 or 3.5 inch drive, its a specialized blade SSD. This is the enclosure you want (as far as I know they're only made by OWC).
Leer másThis sounds like it might be an issue with the USB-C ports or the USB-C controller chip on the main logic board, given that the voltage on the USB-C port meter doesn't give the proper voltage. You could try replacing the USB-C board, but if that doesn't help, then the issue is probably due to a fault on the logic board, likely related to USB-C port logic. Good luck!
Leer másThose kind of vertical lines normally indicate a hardware issue with the display itself, but if they are disappearing and reappearing in different areas, they might be caused by an issue with the graphics component or the RAM. You can test by using an external monitor. If they never show up on the external monitor then you can be fairly confident the issue is due to a fault with your display, in which case you would likely need to replace the display to resolve. Good luck!
Leer másHere's an answer to your question I found on the superuser forums. The general consensus is that using RAM sticks of different capacities won't noticeably lower the performance and is OK to do.
Leer másAre you using an 85W charger? If you're using a lesser wattage it may not be enough to power on the 15-inch from a fully discharged state. Otherwise, you could try an SMC reset. If everything else is correct, it could be the case that the battery you installed is faulty which unfortunately sometimes happens.
Leer másI normally use half of a really thing needle nose tweezer and slowly and carefully slide it under the microphone, separating it from the top case. It's a little bit of a tricky technique and you have to be careful, but it's pretty reliable. Doesn't require a heat gun if you're careful and use the right tool to separate it. Good luck!
