If your Tolino does not respond, try resetting it.

To perform a reset, simply press the reset button. This is located in a small opening on the bottom of your tolino eReader. Insert a bent paper clip, for example, into the opening until you feel a slight resistance. Your tolino eReader will then restart.

The connectors for the 2 touch buttons are very close to the bottom edge and easily ripped or cut. I suggest omitting that area or keep your pick very flat (parallel to your table) at the bottom edge.

12 Volts seems way too much voltage for a regular AA battery. Those should have around 1.5 V.
