It might be possible through the use of thunderbolt pass through dongle but those are expensive and would require even more hardware and bulky solution. I’d recommend just using a car charger with usb pd 65w and soldering a MagSafe socket to it. Two cable solution but now the display can charge your MacBook usb c

one can upgrade the SSD, in this unit it is the large IC labelled TOSHIBA. I came here for the layout/orientation of the SSD/NAND chip haha
