anytime i do Samsungs i order by model number, for the most part screen, battery, cameras are the same, the charging ports is what i order specific based on model number unless you just solder the new port then it is the same.
Yes, the connectors and flex cables are the same, you will just have a different color home button. As a repair shop i would keep it the same color as the home button.
You can buy the battery, pentalope screw driver, 000 screw driver, isasemo and a spudger from ifix it and use this guide Cómo reemplazar la batería de tu iPhone 6. you can remove the vibrator to get more clearance. just don't pull the tabs up towards the ceiling and away, you want to pull the tabs and keep pulling and be horizontal as possible like you are following the top part of the workspace. Please put back the same screw from the same hole it came out of. study the guide afew times before doing the repair and you will have a good running phone again.
@stingersys when looking at charge ports look behind the battery or on the charge port itself and find the model number. example Verizon will be like N910V. order what is on the device currently. hope this helps.
Plug one of these to your charger if you see the battery charging then there are some other issues. bad battery, bad cable or broken charge port. USB Ameter.
The charging port can be replaced, the charge port has some coating holding it down that will need to be removed, i add some low melt de-solder and use a heat gun to remove the charge port then use my solder iron to install the new one.some lift or start to remove the bottom part of the screen enough to remove the buttons that wrap around to the screen and slide the new flex cable and port.
if you have issues removing the rear case use a syringe or droplet and add alcohol around edges after heating rear case, use a tool to lift slightly and add more alcohol if needed, use playing card and slide around edge and applying small amounts of alcohol if needed until rear case is removed.
when replacing the charge port you will need the model/gen number that it is on the part that you will be replacing. mine was JDS-030. disassemble the controller to get to the port and then order the part you need based on the part number and part itself since they are different in size.
Always disconnect battery and press power button a few times to rid of any power left on device while doing repairs. especially if you are using metal tools.
To install the new screen, install the connector at the top first and dry fit before installing and make sure you align the Button and Camera.
If you are refering to step 6, the fpc connector will need to be soldered to the motherboard.
I always open the tablet and order the cable by part and rev number. you may order a part for a tablet and will most like be sent for a diff version.

I just completed the teardown on my Toshiba, very well documented and simple to do if you have the tools described. Thank you for this Teardown.
