Literally, the screen was shattered. Pieces falling out like dust in the wind.

It went swiftly. Watching videos of how to take it apart from our friends on iFixit really helped me out. The holding the display assembly with the iPhone box was ingenious! I always used to hold while I operated with one hand but it proved 10x easier. Being an iPhone repairmen since 2009, it's proven that apple has integrated some major changes. But nonetheless, always read the instructions before you proceed!!!

Always read the guides before performing because you'll never know when you have to stop for a minute in the middle of operating on your cherished equipment. Also, make sure you carefully examine what you need. I got the Pro tech toolkit and although it was $80, it still is worth the penny because of all those bits you get and the handy magnetic plate to hold all those tiny screws.
It's a nightmare when you happen to lose a very important screw.
