The power receiver is corroded and needs replacing. The adaptor/plug is fine but when plugged in, the power light briefly appears and then goes away. How to find a part and then replace it? I also can't insert the plug all the way. It dangles.

Try replacing the DC power inlet jack. You will need soldering tools and skills to do this
Search online for Cassio CDP-22OR DC power jack (example only) to find suppliers that suit you best.
