Why my WiFi disconnect and connect

WiFi from my tv disconnects and connects back, but sometimes I need to exit the app or channel and go back or turn tv off and on. I reset the tv to original factory settings, Router restarted, tried everything and the same.

Hi @eduardszakacs

It could be a low WiFi signal and possible WiFi channel interference or perhaps a faulty WiFi connection or module in the TV that is causing the problem .

Two ways to check if it is either of the first two options is to move the TV to within 30cm of the router (or vise versa) and check if there is a stable WiFi connection.

OR

To check the signal strength and channel usage of the WiFi connection if you have a Window laptop to test the signal strength and channel usage of the WiFi signal near to your TV. Download, install and run this free WiFi sniffer program on your laptop to check the signal strength and if there may be channel congestion on the WiFi channel being used on your network.

Place the laptop in front of the middle of the TV and then run the program to view the results. Find your network and check the signal level. Remember that the level is in -dBm so the higher the numerical value of the signal the lower the actual strength of the signal.

-30 dBm strength is perfect, -50 dBm strength is excellent, -60 dBm, strength is good, -67dBm signal is minimum, -70+dBm strength is too weak.

Also check the number of other networks that the laptop detects that are using the same router channel number as your home network. If there are any and they have a strong signal strength in relation to your network, this can cause interference to your network. Change the WiFi channel in your router to one that has no appearance (or not many) as seen by the program. See your router manual for how to change the router WiFi channel being used by your network.

It could also be a loose WiFi cable connection in the TV or perhaps a faulty WiFi module (example only to show what it looks like)

I can't find the service manual for your TV or even a video but here's a video that shows how to replace the WiFi module in an LG TV that may (or may not) be of some help.
