Which screw do I use to keep the battery in my Mac Pro Retina

While changing the battery on my Mac Pro Retina 1502 EMC 2835 computer I lost the screw that holds in the battery . I have searched high and low for which screw to use but I keep getting conflicting answers . Please help . One place says , Pentelobe P5 and another says P6 . And everything else keeps trying to sell me a screwdriver . Thank you

Hope this works . This is from the video . The guy screwing in the screw here . It’s the top right above the all the way to the right battery . It’s actually right next to the place the backing screw goes .

Hey Mate, I am actually on the laptop in question writing this right now. I am very sure that it is not a pentalobe and is a Torx. I have had to remove said battery to access the keyboard.

However, I will double check and open it up RIGHT NOW. IN CLASS

Are you talking about removing the battery itself? Or getting TO the battery?

The single screw holding the battery is definitely a torx

I think it might be a t5 by the looks of it. Let me know if this helps.

I’ve already removed the battery . I lost the screw putting the battery back in . See the picture above by the guys hand . There is only one screw that holds the battery in. The MacPro Retina only uses Pentelobe screws . I just need to know which screw to use . They have like 6 . All the Pentelobe .

So you are wanting to get a replacement screw to hold the battery down?

But yes it is Torx. I have the exact same model as you do. and mine is Torx

Just saw your comment. Might you do me a favour and upvote/accept my answer?

I had to take apart my laptop in class and almost got it confiscated by the teacher who turned around to find my laptop in buts.

I don’t know . It’s the only screw that was by itself . Every other section had multiple batteries ( The bottom has 10 screws . The speakers each had 3 . Then there was this one screw , all alone the kept the battery in place . The battery itself has the whole but I can’t even tell where it goes .

Never mind . It was step 21 and they named the screw needed . Thank you . I already closed it but now I know what to look for . Thank you
