no right joycons can connect to the switch
i can’t play it in handheld mode or connect other joycons easily to it without pressing the connect button

so does it connect when sliding it into the rail or just through wireless

only when it’s not connected to the switch so i cannot play handheld mode
@whimzy sounds like the rail on the console is either faulty or has disconnect from the connector inside the switch
is it easy to replace myself or should i go to a repair shop?
@whimzy its easy enough, only 3 screws hold the rail on and the ribbon connects to the motherboard, you will need to watch the teardown video to see how to disassemble the back cover and remove the metal sheild etc. make sure to look at the 3 screws on each side tho as 1 is different
