tv has standby light and turns from red to blue but wont come on

Hi ,

I have a hisense tv lLTDN50K220WTEU model

The tv standby light is red and turns to blue when power button on the remote is -pressed.

The tv doesnt turn on. I have replaced the T-con board and the LED lights, one was blown so i thought it might be these but the same problem remains after i have changed the LED's.

i have changed power cable, done the turn if off and unplug etc but the problem still remains.

I have plugged in my PlayStation into both HDMI ports and plugged in a tv aerial but still no joy.

I have removed the cable from the power board to main board and the standby light didnt come on.

i am out of ideas what it may be

@stek61110 try this first and let us know what it shows you:

Darken the room and turn the TV on. Then use a flashlight and angle the light at the screen on different areas. you might make out some shadows or see s slight grey color.

Check the connector on the power board where the main board connects to. Check the voltages and and compare those to the values that should be printed on the power board. We need to know if your mainboard is "telling" the power board to turn the different circuits on.

This "I have removed the cable from the power board to main board and the standby light didnt come on." is normal. It is possible that this is a main board issue or a panel issue.

Many thanks for your reply.

I tried the darken room and flashlight to no avail.

I tested the voltages using a voltage meter

there is 247 volts coming through the plug cable and the same amount at the power board where the plug comes in.

there are 10 pins but 15 number/ letter written

i tested the volts at the connector to the main bo0ard and the values were as

on board --------------------- read

pwm3 ---------------- 18.0 then went to 0

gnd ------------ 17 then went to 0

3ds --------------- 2.87

16v -------------- 0

16v ----------------- 12.09

gnd --------------- 12.09

stb -------------- 3.5

12v ----- -------- 0

12v -------------- 2.99

sw ----------- 0

pwmz ------------- 0

I tested the volts at the led connector and they were 0, both on and off

there seems to be a low sound emitting from the board when it is on like a low hum

@stek61110 it sounds like your power board does not come out of standby, which could be a main board issue. Can you post some pictures of your boards and how they are mounted in the back of your TV? That way we can see what you see. Post a well focused picture of the connector you've measured as well. Agregar imágenes a una pregunta existente
