Can I add RAM or change the graphics card?

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex-14IWL and was wondering if it was possible to add more RAM and/or a new graphics card to this laptop or not. There's so many cool games I want to play, but I can't afford a gaming laptop so I'd rather just upgrade the one I have if possible.

Hi @crowshinies

In the laptop, there's 4GB of memory hard mounted on the motherboard which cannot be removed and 1 memory slot in which memory modules can be removed/replaced, which supports up to 16GB of memory.

So you could increase the memory up to a maximum of 20GB from whatever it is now. e.g combinations of 4GB + 4GB, 4GB + 8GB or 4GB +16GB,

If you wish to have the maximum amount, search online for suppliers of a 1 x 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM 260-pin 1.2V PC4-25600 memory module that suit you best.

Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop. Go to p.37 to view the procedure to remove/replace the memory module.

You cannot change the GPUs as they are both hard mounted on the motherboard i.e. the Intel GPU is integrated with the CPU and it is non-removable as is the discrete Nvidia GPU.
