uniden home phone, messages don’t store or don’t come on my answering

I have a uniden home phone and for some reason my messages don’t store or don’t come on my answering machine I get the flashing light to indicate a message then I have to call 101 to recieve messages from my hand set how do I fix it to store back on my answering machine.
